Fine art students and faculty had the opportunity to visit New York City from March 5th through March 8th. Some of the sites visited include: Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum, and the Armory Art Fair. more

Scholarship Recipient Combines Two Majors and Two Cultures

Betty Hensellek recently received DAAP's one and only scholarship reserved for art history majors. She won the award based on her academic excellence even while pursuing two majors as well as advanced language studies. more

A special project in a graduate painting class at UC challenges students to learn the art of the sale. As part of a current advanced painting course, students compete to sell their art to local collectors. more

Tradeshow: An Exhibition Exchange Between DAAP and the Art Academy

DAAP's Meyers Gallery will showcase work from the Art Academy while the AAC's Chidlaw Gallery will showcase work from DAAP. The exchange seeks to promote the interaction of artists and ideas within the academic community of Cincinnati. more

Student performance at the CAC's Black Box Theater

Out of dark recesses of DAAP, a performance troupe came together this fall out of Kim Paice's Philosophy and Performance course. These artists worked, read philosophy, and wandered the city of Cincinnati together. They performed LeRoi Jones's "The Toilet" and Sophocles's "Antigone," and fell madly in love with the subversive work of the Situationists. more
