Denise Burge is the academic advisor for School of Art undergraduates, and Director of the Foundations Studio Program. In addition to these things, she teaches the occasional seminar and studio class, working with undergraduate and graduate students. In her own work, she focuses on the areas of painting and quiltmaking. Professor Burge recently received a $20,000 Joan Mitchell Foundation award, and has exhibited her work in the past two Quilt National biennial exhibits. She also exhibits at the Linda Schwartz gallery, and will be represented in the 2005 Midwest Biennial at DePauw University.
