Born in Covington, Virginia, Ryan's mother made a deal with him when he wanted to attend Art School. If he could sell $300 worth of paintings a month, she would give him permission. Now with an MFA and BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, Ryan has worked in jobs ranging from Historical Researcher for HBO, Writer/Developer for 44 Blue Productions in LA, Recruitment Director for VCUarts, and now is the Foundations Coordinator for the School of Art at UC.
His performances have been staged up and down the East Coast, and he has exhibited his work in LA, Canada, Richmond, Chicago, and New York.
