What to Do Before You Arrive

1. Purchase all the necessary hardware and software for your major.
2. Become familiar with the basic operation of your computer. Power up, charging the battery, using media, etc.
3. Consult the tutorials for your operating system. Although much of this information will be covered in your Digital Foundations course, you will find it benficial to be familiar with basic operations such as opening Applications, copying files, making CDs and using a web browser
4. Install the necessary software on your computer following the manufacturers instructions.
5. Look into purchasing some helpful peripherals and accessories.
6. Add some distinguishing identification to your computer.
