Funding Priorities

Your support is essential to the continued success of the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. The list of funding priorities is the current initiatives of the College and not the entire list of funding priorities since the list would be extremely long. Among the funding priorities for the College are: student scholarships and fellowships, endowed faculty positions (professorships) and the Dean's Innovations Fund that provide the Dean and School Directors the flexibility to respond to opportunities as they arise. Annual Fund

The College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning receives annual support from alumni, faculty and friends through gifts to the DAAP Annual Fund. This consistent, ongoing source of funding is essential to the operation and growth of the College. more

Dean's Innovation Fund

This fund enables DAAP to maintain and advance its inspired, 24/7 learning environment - most especially the high technology infrastructure that affords our students to lead their professions instead of simply following trends. more

Undergraduate Scholarships and Financial Aid

The College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning puts extraordinary efforts into recruiting and retaining the best and brightest students. Although DAAP is currently ranked at the top of its field, we must stay competitive by offering scholarships to top candidates who lack the resources to attend college, and by providing them with financial assistance to take co-op positions anywhere in the world. more

DAAP Memorial Scholarship Fund

The DAAP Scholarship Fund was recently established in memory of or in honor of colleagues and friends who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to the College. more

Scholarship Emergency Fund

This scholarship fund provides gap funding to assist students in good academic standing with emergencies and short-term financial needs. more

Graduate Awards, Fellowships, and Stipends

Equally compelling is the need to attract scholars to our graduate programs. Frequently, students seeking advanced degrees are attracted to DAAP's programs and reputation, but are forced to accept positions at universities that are more generously funded with graduate scholarships, awards and research opportunities. more

Endowed Faculty Positions

The best students are attracted to DAAP because of its outstanding faculty and individuals who are at the top of their career. Each of our four schools is led by professionals who are dedicated to the educational process and who are nationally recognized for their own contributions in the fields of design, architecture and interior design, art, and planning. more

Carl H. Monzel Endowed Professorship

The Carl H. Monzel Professorship of Architecture was established in 2006 by BHDP Architecture to honor the memory of one of the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning's finest alumni, Carl H. Monzel, BARC 1975. more
