Travel Opportunities
The School of Architecture and Interior Design has several academic travel opportunities within two broad categories: Academic Travel Programs and International Exchange Programs. Academic Travel Programs are typically led by SAID/DAAP faculty and International Exchange Programs require students to study at another university. It is recommended that SAID undergraduate students travel in the spring or summer of their 3rd year. Graduate students can travel during their Option quarter (see Master of Architecture descriptions for details).
Academic Travel Programs
UC has had an ongoing relationship with the DIS program in Copenhagen since 1989. DIS is an internationally renowned study abroad institution affiliated with the University of Copenhagen. The program is intended as an opportunity for students in the School of Architecture and Interior Design to study design in complex multi-cultural settings without leaving the United States. Study is focused on the roles of environment and design in the identity of region. For more details, click on the title above. Current students should contact Professor David Saile for additional information.
