Description
This award assists students in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program. The number and amount of awards vary according to available funds. An award is given each year to the student(s) judged to have submitted the best portfolio for undergraduate review.

Submit
Each proposal should contain the following information in this order:
A. Cover Sheet Summary (1 page) listing: 1. Name of applicant (current local address, current local phone, current e-mail)
2. Destination(s) and length of intended travel/ stay
3. Total amount of funding requested
4. A synopsis of the proposed goal(s) and objectives of the trip (1-2 sentences).
5. Names of two Fine Arts faculty members who are willing to serve as references
B. Travel Proposal (4 pages) 1. The proposal itself should be a clear, concise statement of the goals, objectives, and relevance of the intended travel. It should include information as to how you intend to achieve these goals during your trip.
2. An estimated travel schedule indicating roughly how and when the travel will take place.
3. An estimated, summarized, budget including realistic costs of any items relevant to the intended travel (tickets, reservations, gas, lodging, food, entrance fees, passport, etc.). Include a statement regarding your ability to "make up the difference", should a lesser amount be granted.
C. Supplemental Materials 1. A copy of your Fall Quarter 2008 grade report.
2. Visual examples (i.e. prints or digital files on a CD/DVD) in support of the application (only one set of visuals necessary.)
Have someone proofread your proposal before submitting it. This can help make your proposal more focused, as well as eliminating grammatical and typographical errors.
