His students and peers have established this fund to honor his legacy and provide the first-ever tuition scholarship for undergraduate ART HISTORY majors at UC.

The School of Art is in partnership with Skowhegan, an intensive nine-week summer residency program for emerging visual artists. All Fine Arts juniors, seniors, and first year graduate students are encouraged to apply for this residency.
Skowhegan's 2009 session will take place from June 13-August 15. Participants are required to be in residence the full nine weeks. Skowhegan, in both its physical and programmatic design, provides opportunities for intense work and creative direction. Because the program focuses on process and experimentation, participants are encouraged to come prepared to work without a preconceived agenda or schedule.
Admission is based primarily on work samples (10 images or a 5-minute video sample).
More information is available at:
http://www.skowheganart.org/
Apply for this residency directly to Skowhegan www.skowheganart.org/application. Applicants must be at least 21 years old before the session begins.
This year, there is only enough funding to support one student from our school. In the case of more than one Fine Arts student being accepted to this program, the Awards Committee will decide which student will receive SOA funds. The residency fee, which includes tuition, room and board, is $5,500 for 2009. The School of Art would provide $2,500 of that sum, the student would provide $250, and Skowhegan would match the balance.
