School of Planning Scholarships
Thanks to the generosity of numerous alumni and friends of the college, scholarships are available to students in the School of Planning.
There is an application process which varies by scholarship: some require an application, either online or hard-copy; some require submission of a letter or a portfolio; many require from 1-3 faculty recommendations. Deadline dates will vary. Please review thoroughly the information links below to learn the requirements of those scholarships which pertain to you. The deadline for most 2008-2009 scholarships is April 15, 2008.
Traditional Application Scholarships
Harris Forusz and Ido deGroot Scholarship
This scholarship, in memory of two DAAP faculty members, provides scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in Architecture, Urban Planning, and Community Planning. Deserving students are selected on the basis of academic merit and financial need; undergraduates must be in final two years of program. more
Paradise Scholarship
The University of Cincinnati Chapter of the American Association of University Professors makes available to UC students scholarships of up to $1,000, to be awarded on the basis of the nominees' commitment to community service, concern for others, and willingness to defend civil liberties and human rights. Students must be nominated by a faculty member. more
Seasongood Summer Internship
This summer internship is available for students interested in government or administration to work under the supervision of government professionals in the City of Cincinnati. more
Thomas E. and Susan Wagner Endowed Scholarship
This fund provides awards for undergraduate minority student in the School of Planning. more
Ladislas and Vilma Segoe Scholarships
This fund provides scholarships to undergraduate Urban Planning and graduate Community Planning students, who display exceptional academic and/or professional excellence or promise. more
William Bowdy Scholarship
This scholarship provides small grants for undergraduate School of Planning students in financial need. more
Neil Bortz Doctoral Fund
This fund provides professional development support for doctoral students in planning. more
Garden Club of Ohio Scholarship
The Garden Club of Ohio awards scholarships to current juniors or seniors studying city planning or allied subjects, based upon academic merit, financial need, and commitment to career. more
