Landscape Architecture

Announcement:
The Master of Landscape Architecture and the Master of Science in Landscape Architecture have paused admissions to the programs.

Landscape architecture plays a leading role in the planning and design of livable urban environments with parks, transportation systems, neighborhoods, and infrastructure.

In the future, green infrastructure - or the use of landscapes and vegetation to provide municipal services like stormwater management, mitigation of the urban heat island, and improved air quality - will surpass the use of traditional grey infrastructure - or pipes, ditches, and culverts.

Living architecture employs vegetated roofs and facades to provide green infrastructure as well as aesthetic and therapeutic benefits.
